What time is Pluribus Episode 8 out on Apple TV?

3 weeks ago 23

Pluribus Episode 8, ‘Charm Offensive’, is just around the corner, and given it’s the penultimate chapter, you’re going to want to tune in to Apple TV when everyone else does so you can avoid spoilers.

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has created yet another winner with Pluribus, a show that centers on Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn) as she deals with a virus that transforms a majority of humanity into a smiling, kind-hearted hive mind.

In her hunt for answers, Carol stumbled upon a horrifying discovery: the Others, as they’re called, have been repurposing dead bodies for sustenance, turning them into a liquid known as HDP (human derived protein).

Now that they’ve figured out a way to get the 13 immune humans to join, Carol will need to work with the only other like-minded human, Manousos (Carlos-Manuel Vesga) – but did he survive the Darién Gap? Episode 8 will give us the answer.

Pluribus Episode 8 release date & time

Although the official release date of Pluribus Episode 8 is listed as Friday, December 19, US viewers can catch it early on Thursday, December 18, at 6pm PT / 9pm ET on Apple TV.

This is the typical format the streaming service follows with its original content. If you’re in a different time zone, you can calculate the release time accordingly. Here are a few so you know exactly when to tune in:

  • 8pm CT
  • 11pm Brazil
  • 2am UK (December 19)
  • 3am CET (December 19)
  • 7:30am India Standard Time (December 19)
  • 1pm Australia (December 19)
  • 3pm New Zealand (December 19)

This early evening US drop is standard for Apple TV originals like Severance and Silo, with episodes released simultaneously worldwide then labelled by date rather than local time to keep a consistent global schedule.

How many episodes are there?

Even though we’re edging ever closer to the end of Pluribus’ debut chapter, don’t fret – Apple TV ordered at least two seasons, and creator Vince Gilligan told Dexerto that Season 2 is moving along nicely.

“We’re in the writers’ room for Season 2, we’ve been going since the end of October… All of us writers have been plugging away,” he said, adding that after a break for the holidays, they’ll be back on the case in January 2026.

Pluribus release schedule

As said, there are only two episodes remaining – here’s the full Pluribus release schedule as it stands:

  • Episode 8 – December 19 (December 18 in the US)
  • Episode 9 – December 26 (December 25 in the US)

What happened in Episode 7?

At the end of Pluribus Episode 7, ‘The Gap’, Carol finally cracks after weeks of isolation. No longer able to stand the loneliness, she paints the words “come back” on her drive (which was spotted days prior by a fan on Google Earth, FYI).

The hive mind listens and Zosia (Karolina Wydra) comes over. Having been alone all this time, Carol slowly walks up to her before giving her the tightest hug, relieved to have any sort of interaction whatsoever.

As is revealed in the Episode 8 description, this looks set to be the start of a new approach for Carol, who “takes a different tack with The Others and discovers more than she anticipated.”

We’ll also get to find out what happened to Manousos after he passed out in the jungle. Thankfully he’s alive, but he’s in “unfamiliar surroundings” – did he make it to the other side?

We’ll have to wait and see when ‘Charm Offensive’ drops. Until then, read about the woman who was allegedly hospitalized due to a Pluribus ad and why you shouldn’t expect an M. Night Shyamalan style twist in the show.
