- A video Nick Reiner once shared on YouTube has resurfaced in the wake of his arrest
- Nick, 32, is charged with murdering his parents Rob and Michele Reiner
- Authorities have said they believe Nick killed his parents inside their family home using a knife in the "early morning hours" of Sunday, Dec. 14
A resurfaced YouTube video on a channel appearing to belong to Nick Reiner shows him boasting at one point, “You’re gonna have to bail me outta jail.”
Nick, now 32, appears in the 2016 video, which resurfaced on social media following his Dec. 14 arrest in connection with the deaths of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner.
Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, were found dead inside the family's home. Less than six hours later, Nick was arrested in connection with their deaths and is charged with their murders, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.
In the video, Nick appears to be acting as a fictitious music mogul named "Dddavid," as he's interviewed around the Reiner family's home and neighborhood. The video at one point shows Nick smoking alongside his younger sister Romy Reiner and stopping to talk to neighbors while in character. Throughout the video, he fields questions from an interviewer behind the camera in a mockumentary style that's somewhat similar to his father's 1984 film This Is Spinal Tap.
The video also shows Nick, who has long been open about his issues with substance abuse, smoking what he describes as marijuana, feigning the use of cocaine, and discussing heroin.

"And I don't even care if anyone calls me a Sally, because I'm a snail and I'm never gonna f---ing fail. And you know what? You're gonna have to bail me outta jail," Nick raps at one point in the video.
While referencing the resurfaced video, a family source told PEOPLE this week that Nick "was always creative but misguided."
"He grew up around Hollywood A-listers and their lifestyles and it didn't seem to occur to him that any of that could be taken from him," the source said. "The hardest thing for Nick was following through on his ideas and doing the work he didn’t find exciting.”

Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said at a Dec. 16 press conference that Nick will be charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a special allegation of using a knife.
If convicted, he could face life in prison without the possibility of parole, or even a death sentence given that the case is being tried under special circumstances, Hochman explained. “No decision at this point has been made with respect to the death penalty,” Hochman told reporters, noting the family's opinion would be taken into consideration.
Romy and her oldest brother Jake, 34, released a statement on behalf of the Reiner family on Dec. 17, asking "for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave."
Nick previously spoke out about his struggles with addiction and homelessness, which began in his teens, telling PEOPLE in 2016 he cycled in and out of rehab beginning around the age of 15. As Nick’s addiction escalated, he said he drifted farther from home and spent significant stretches of his life homeless in multiple states.
