NEED TO KNOW

  • Kylie Kelce opened up about her and husband Jason's decision to chose gender-neutral names for their four daughters
  • She addressed criticism of their choices after a fan asked why they picked "boy names"
  • Kylie previously revealed their youngest daughter, Finnley, was named after revisiting a name considered for her daughter, Elliotte

Kylie Kelce thinks people should keep their opinions to themselves when it comes to her daughters’ names.

The 33-year-old is mom to daughters Wyatt Elizabeth, 6, Elliotte Ray, 4, Bennett Llewellyn, 2, and Finnley “Finn” Anne, 7 months, whom she shares with her husband, Jason Kelce

On a special Thanksgiving bonus episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast released on Tuesday, Nov. 25, Kylie was asked by a fan about the decision behind her children’s names.

“This next question appears to be pure rage bait. ‘What’s with the boy names?’ ” Kylie read on the podcast. “I’ll tell you what’s with the boys' names. We — my husband and I — liked gender neutral names for our daughters.”

When it came to their eldest, Kylie revealed that they had selected Wyatt “before we knew the gender of the baby.” She added, “We decided we liked it as a boy or as a girl.”

“Elliotte’s nickname is Ellie so you can f--- off,” she continued.

Kylie then explained, “The part that I take issue with on people having issue with our names is that I actually didn’t ask. I didn’t ask what you thought about my kids’ names. My husband and I agreed on the names. We like them. You, honestly, you should try naming a human being. It’s not easy. And so, yeah, I’m good.”

The mother of four said that sometimes people will ask if Wyatt “is a family name” assuming “they’re trying to find a saving grace in the fact that my husband and I picked Wyatt for a little girl.”

However, her message for anyone who has a problem with her children’s names is pretty clear.

“You know what the theme of this episode besides giving thanks might be? Getting f----- because they can get f-----. How ‘bout that?” Kylie quipped.

The podcast host previously opened up about the process behind naming her youngest daughter, Finn, on an April episode of Not Gonna Lie

“For the first 24 hours of her life, she did not have a name,” she revealed at the time. “We had discussed names with anyone we could trust to not share names. We didn’t go with a single option that we had been discussing, so there’s that."

She added that Finnley was actually a name the couple had considered for Elliotte.

“Considering we had to name four children with the same gender, we had to run it back to the archives and borrow one from a different child, and that’s what we did,” Kylie said.
