James Van Der Beek's wife is beaming with pride and said the actor is "bouncing back" amid his cancer journey.

On Monday, Nov. 24, the 48-year-old Dawson’s Creek alum, who was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer, posted an Instagram video thanking fans for their support as he helps raise money for his cancer treatment and other families going through the same experience.

In the comments section, his wife Kimberly wrote, "You're a wizard. Bouncing back baby!! 😍😍😍."

In the post, Van Der Beek appeared in good spirits as he tossed around a football while wearing his Varsity Blues jersey, featuring the name Moxon — his character from the 1999 film. He shared with fans a chance to get an autographed jersey. The sale, which features signed jerseys for $80 and unsigned jerseys for $40, is a follow-up on a similar offering last year.

"By popular demand! My favorite jersey," Van Der Beek wrote in the caption. "Last year when I released the Blues jersey, I was blown away by the love and support I received from all of you. It has meant more than I can ever express."

"I hope you enjoy this one as much as the original. For me, every jersey I sign is a magical full-circle moment," he continued, then taking time to thanks fans for all the support they've shown him both throughout this career and his recent health struggles.

"Thank you — for the love, the prayers, the support, and for making this jersey mean something far bigger than a movie. Endlessly grateful for all of you. Proceeds go directly toward helping with treatment and supporting families walking the same path," he said, adding, "Promise I’ll get the signed ones turned around quicker this time."

The special memorabilia joins more that the actor recently announced would be available to fans. Van Der Beek also teamed up with Propstore to offer fans a rare opportunity to take home cherished items from his personal collection in their Winter Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction, which will be held Dec. 5–7, 2025.

The auction features items released to the public for the first time as Van Der Beek parts with wardrobe, props and set pieces that trace his career-defining moments, from the necklace Dawson gifted Joey for prom in Dawson's Creek to the actor's film-worn cleats and West Canaan Coyotes Hat from Varsity Blues.

“I’ve been storing these treasures for years, waiting for the right time to do something with them, and with all of the recent unexpected twists and turns life has presented recently, it's clear that the time is now," Van Der Beek shared when the auction was first announced earlier this month.

"While I have some nostalgia tugging at me as I part with these items, it feels good to be able to offer them through Propstore's auction to share with those who have supported my work over the years."
