Carol Burnett Reveals Which New Show She Thinks Is Going to Be 'the Hit of the Season' (Exclusive)

Carol Burnett has a very good feeling about a certain new show.

The 92-year-old icon attended the L.A. premiere of Pluribus, the new Apple TV+ series from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, and she tells PEOPLE that she knows the Rhea Seehorn-led show will be a hit.

"I'm such a fan of Rhea Seehorn’s and now that she's got her own show written by the wonderful Vince Gilligan, I can't wait to see it," Burnett says. "I know it's going to be the hit of the season. I know it!"

The actress shares that she's long been a fan of Gilligan and his various successful TV projects, which also includes the Breaking Bad prequel series, Better Call Saul.

"I love Vince Gilligan's work," she says. "I got hooked on Breaking Bad way back, and then Better Call Saul."

She was such a big fan that Gilligan got her involved in the prequel. "Then they gave me a role on Better Call Saul, and I had the best time," Burnett says of her four-episode arc in the show's final season.

She played Marion, mom to Jeff, in the episodes, and exposed that Gene Takavic was actually Saul.

Burnett is back on TV herself now that Palm Royale season 2 has premiered, and her role is even bigger this year, now that her character Norma is back in good health.

In the season 2 premiere, she tried to enlist Linda (Laura Dern) in a plot to take down Maxine (Kristen Wiig), after Linda was arrested for shooting Robert (Ricky Martin) in the season 1 finale.

PEOPLE had an exclusive first look at the episode, where Norma explained her plan to make Maxine look guilty and save Linda. "I've already laid the groundwork, all you have to do is confirm it. She radicalized your feminist group, taking it over from the inside, and before you knew it, you were going alone with her insane plan to kill the president," Norma told Linda.

Linda would instead appear to be a "naive, impressionable socialite who got caught up" in Maxine's plot, rather than the mastermind behind the endeavor.
