Brad Pitt is thriving, according to an insider, as the Oscar winner turns 62.
The actor is "really doing well," a source tells PEOPLE. "He's had another incredible year." The source adds that Pitt is "excited about his career, but he's the most excited about" his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, 32.
"She's perfect for him. They're great together," says the source. The pair have been romantically linked since 2022.
Pitt celebrates his birthday on Thursday, Dec. 18, and de Ramon's follows the next day, Dec. 19. "Since their birthdays fall just one day apart, they usually mark each other's actual day with small celebrations but save the bigger group celebration for a moment with friends."
And they'll continue their festivities through the holiday season. "He's celebrating Christmas and New Year's with Ines," says the source. "They've created their own traditions together and enjoy more quiet celebrations. They get together with a small group of friends and make it special."

Pitt has been busy filming in Los Angeles, working on The Adventures of Cliff Booth, which sees him reprise his award-winning role from Quentin Tarantino's 2019 film Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood.
For the new movie, Pitt reunites with director David Fincher after the duo collaborated on Se7en (1995), Fight Club (1999) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008).

His racing drama F1 became a global box office success over the summer, and the film scored two Golden Globe nominations. The actor-producer is also expected to reunite with George Clooney for another Ocean's sequel.
"Brad's had a busy work year," says the source, adding that he is "looking forward to a break in between" projects in 2026.
In a 2024 interview with GQ, Pitt spoke about turning 60 and how it changed his outlook on life, saying, "You start to understand this idea of mortality and that it is something we all have to deal with. You just become more aware of it."
Pitt also said he is "just trying to enjoy the people that I love around me and just living." He added, "I don’t know how to not sound cheesy about it, but just the air is fresh and grass is green and I’ve just kind of become that guy a little bit."
