Bobby Berk is putting his design expertise to the ultimate test in his new HGTV show!

In a PEOPLE exclusive first look at the trailer for Junk or Jackpot?, above, viewers catch a glimpse of some of the out-of-control collections Berk, 44, will help homeowners tackle in the new series, which premieres Friday, Dec. 26 on HGTV.

The Queer Eye alum will be tasked with helping his clients decide if they should part ways with their unique collections — which range from an expansive wardrobe to an overflowing amount of Wonder Woman figurines — to raise enough funds for their dream home renovation.

“I’m Bobby Berk. I help people transform their spaces to get their lives back in order,” he says in the trailer. “But when a prized collection turns home life into chaos, it’s time for a renovation intervention.”

While standing with one homeowner who loves all things Wonder Woman, Berk says, “I hear you have one of the largest collections in the world.”

“I do. How many pieces are in my collection? About 2,000,” the woman responds.

The clip then cuts to another homeowner saying they have 5,000 collectibles, followed by another who says their collection is made up of 10,000 pieces.

In an effort to nudge his clients to part ways with some of their beloved trinkets, Berk highlights how the items are impacting not only their home, but their personal lives too.

“How much of the house has this collection taken over?” he asks one grandma who collects Barbies. “The whole upstairs,” she responds, to which Berk then notes how there isn’t any room for her grandkids to stay over.

Another man’s pinball machine collection is overflowing to the point where it caused his partner to move out.

“It’s affecting your relationship in a major way,” Berk tells the homeowner.

To help his clients “get the home they dream of,” the designer brings in experts to appraise some of the collections and hopefully motivate each homeowner “to sell some of their precious treasures,” he says in the trailer.

One expert tells a vinyl collector, “You might get $1,500 or $2,000,” while another holds up a piece of clothing and says, “$30,000 to $40,000.”

The next expert has an item in his hand that he claims is “worth over $100,000,” to which a shocked Berk says, “Shut the...” before the clip cuts to the next scene.

While the new series will likely have viewers on the edge of their seats to see which homeowners actually hit the jackpot, the best part might be the stunning home renovations.

As the camera pans over an updated bedroom, part of the Wonder Woman collection can be seen on display in the corner.

“We’re like in another dimension,” a voice can be heard saying in the background. “This is spectacular,” another says as Berk gives his client a big hug.

Clearly happy with her refreshed home, one woman jokes, “I feel like there was life before Bobby and after Bobby.”

Junk or Jackpot? was first announced by HGTV in July, PEOPLE exclusively revealed at the time.

“I’m excited to help passionate people sift through their cherished items and give them reimagined spaces that will best honor what they hold dear," Berk, who also identifies as a big collector himself, said in the release.

The show is executive produced by John Cena, who shared, “The idea for Junk or Jackpot? was born out of a conversation I had with friends. People often wonder if their collections are trash or treasure, and this show will help them find out.”

While Berk technically made his HGTV debut as a guest judge on the home competition show Rock the Block in April 2025, this is his first official solo venture with the network. Berk left Queer Eye, on which he was the original design expert for the 2018 reboot, in 2022. He was replaced by Jeremiah Brent, who starred in the final seasons before it was announced in July 2025 the show would come to an end after season 10 in Washington, D.C..

Junk or Jackpot? premieres Friday, Dec. 26 at 9:30 p.m. on HGTV.
